The entrance of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic
Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, (MAPOLY),
Ojere, Abeokuta, on
February 26 matriculated 5000 students in
both full time and
part time programme in all the departments
of the
institution.
Addressing the new students, Rector of the
institution,
Professor Oludele Adelanwa Itiola disclosed
that the school
had maintain the highest quality of admitting
students in
various department in a year as dictated by
the National
Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
He urged the matriculating students to focus
on their
education and abide by the school rules and
regulations of
which can make them graduate after their
programmes in
two years time.
Itiola added that the students should make
the student
handbook their Bible and Holy Quran that
would guide them
through good behaviours within the campus.
According to him, “I need to emphasize that
Moshood Abiola
Polytechnic, Abeokuta will continually lay
credence to
quality in our admission operations and
systems. We need
to, for example, maintain the highest quality
in our
admission processes and always endeavour
to keep within
regulatory policies as dictated by the
National Board for
Technical Education (NBTE).
“The fact that all our programmes are
accredited, and our
well-known status in Mass Communication,
Accountancy and
the Sciences, stand us out from our
contemporaries are not
our only testimonies as you will soon
discover.
“Our exploits in national development
including, bit not
limited to, the production of Solar-powered
streetlights,
Tricycles, Kerosene-Petrol combining
generating set, Fueless
generating set, Electronic ballot box, to list,
but a few,
prominently indicate that we are not a mere
local
champion.”
In his remark, the Director, Student Affairs
Officer, Mr Seyi
Sobande disclosed that the school authorities
had extended
the closure of the student’s registration to
Monday 29,
February 2016.
He declared that any student that fail to
complete his/her
registration on or before the date, shall be
made to pay a
sum of N5,000 for late form.
Sobande further stated that the school
authorities had
dimmed it fit to be increasing the late
registration fee by
N5,000 every week, till March 14, 2016 when
all registrations
closes.
