UNILAG Embarks On Indefinite Strike Following Students Protest

Report has it that students of the University of
Lagos yesterday staged a protest demanding
reduction in the prices of sachet water and
bread produced in the school and also the
opening of Sodeinde Hall, which is currently
undergoing renovation.
The protesting students were said to have
disrupted lectures and protested for several
hours.
At the time of filing this report, the school’s
management is yet to respond to the protest.

The management of the University of Lagos has
Shut Down the institution following protests by
students yesterday.
It was learnt that the senate took the decision to
shut down the school during an emergency
meeting on Thursday.
In a circular, the management said this move is
to prevent a break down of Law and order adding
that the challenges faced by the students are
connected with the lingering fuel scarcity in the
country and was put into consideration before

Students were given till 10am today to vacate
the school premises.
