Finally: WAEC Releases New Official Timetable for Aug 17th Examination

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the Final International Time-table for the conduct of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates for the year 2020.

This was made Public through the Press release released on Tuesday, 4th of August, 2020. According to the press release, the Council wishes to made it known to all concerned stakeholders in education, parents, all Students, as well as the general public that the Council’s Examination Time-table has just been released today.

The Council cited that the Council is aware of fake and different versions of Time-table in circulation since the pronouncement of the Examination date, thereby urging the general public to disregard them as they do not emanate from a reliable source.

Recall that the Federal Ministry of Education through the Minister of State for Education, Honorable Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has announced the schedules for all National and Regional Examinations to be taken in Nigeria, with WASSCE inclusive earlier last week.

In the pronouncement, 17th of August 2020 has been stated for the commencement of the WASSCE examination in Nigeria, and to be ended on Saturday, 12th of September, 2020.

The Council hereby urge all Students to prepare well for their examinations and shun all examination malpractices. It added that Students should ensure compliances with all COVID-19 safety protocols to be put in place in all the examination centres.
