In a bid to extend his reach and curb the need to travel far and wide to reach his numerous followers and supporters, the former vice president and the front runner presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubarkar has launched a personal TV station in Kano state.

Speaking, a former commissioner of agriculture in kano state and Atiku’s representative at the event, Hajiya Baraka Sani stressed the need for the TV station as a means to have a farther reach and a means for all Atiku’s followers to always get to know his plans and all information as it concerns his campaign and political moves.

She also added that the contents from the station will be converted and used in other social media like Twitter, WhatsApp, etc for a wider reach.

On the development of the station, she said the time had come for politicians to end the numerous trips around the country for campaigns and that it was now very necessary to cut costs and use an alternative means which is the TV station to reach the constituents.

With this innovation coming from Atiku, it is possible to say he is very much technology inclined, and very soon, other politicians may have to take a cue from him.

Although the former VP is yet to make an official statement if he will consider standing elections again, this new set up clearly shows he is still ready to present himself again for the top job,

With the southeast clamoring for the same position, we hope his efforts will not be in vain this time.
