Uwazuruike hails north-central leaders for dumping Arewa group

The leader and founder of Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), otherwise called Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has commended the alleged exit of the north-central geo-political zone from the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) adding that it would be the beginning of the end to the incessant killings going on in the region.

He also commended reported cases of prominent leaders from the north-central zone that have announced their exit from the Arewa Consultative Forum, citing the worsening insecurity situation in northern Nigeria as cause of the exit describing it as unfortunate.

The leaders, it was gathered, announced the formation of the North Central Peoples Forum as a platform to fight insecurity and marginalisation. He said that the group lamented that inspite of the abundant mineral and human resources in the zone, the north-central was bedeviled by vices that included, kidnapping, banditry and other forms of criminality.

The ACF currently has as its chairman, the immediate-past Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, who is from the north central zone.

The new North-Central group is being led by a former Minister of State for Health, Gabriel Aduku, who is the interim chairman.

A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Jerry Useni, Ibrahim Mantu, a former Military Administrator of Kwara state, Col. David Bamigboye (retd.), and a former deputy chief of staff to the president, Chief Olusola Akomode, were also listed as members, he further revealed.

The list also included the publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah; a former Nigeria Ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed Ibeto; a media consultant, Alhaji Tajudeen Kareem; a former Deputy Governor of Benue state, Chief Stephen Lawani and Alhaji Alfa Mohammed, among others.

Chief Uwazuruike lamented that the people of the north-central, have suffered untold marginalisation from their brothers in the northern parts of the country. The Biafran leader stated this during his meetings with the directors of different ministries in Biafra Internal Government at Ojukwu Memorial Auditorium, Owerri,Imo state capital.

In a statement signed by his special assistant on social media matters, Comrade Emma N. Nnadi, Uwazuruike noted that the middle beltans have no other choice than to jettison the other zones in the north and close ranks with themselves and every other region in the south that has similar challenges with them in other to protect the lives and property of their people and most especially, the protection of their ancestral and God-given land from over ambitious Fulani invaders.

He asserted that the move would definitely reduce the bloodletting in the region; stressing that, “it is now  time for the Middle beltans to take their destiny into their hands, as he described one northern  proclamations by some of their politicians as a hoax, which only exists during the election time.

Stressing further, he revealed that those sponsoring the crisis and killings in the region will now understand that the land does not belong to a particular Northern tribe/region any longer but to Middle-belt (North Central),

According the BIM-MASSOB founder, the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria will soon metamorphosed into six republic stressing that Biafra and Oduduwa have risen and now the Middle-belt. “It is just a matter of time before others will follow suit,” he said.

Uwazuruike reaffirmed his earlier statement that the Biafra nation would work with the Middle beltans to wade off the excesses of the foreign invaders in the two entities.
