Nigeria Army says it has arrested the soldier who recorded a video begging his colleagues not to shoot at #EndSARS protesters.
The soldier, Lance Corporal Harrison Friday in a video he made which went viral, begged his colleagues not to shoot at innocent Nigerians who have chosen to take to the street to protest against the brutality meted on them by the police unit known as SARS.
In a post shared on its Twitter handle today, the Nigerian Army has confirmed that Harrison has been arrested because he carried out a ‘cybercrime’.
Recall how Harrison pleaded with his colleagues not to open fire on any EndSARS protesters, reminding them that they have three laws as soldiers. He also noted that they should not involve in beating, hurting and killing the people who have decided to protest since they themselves are not allowed to take part in the peaceful protest as a result of their profession.
