IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for admission into the four-year disciplines
and five or six-year professional programmes, candidates
must possess a minimum of five credits at the GCE/WAEC,
SSCE/NECO, or SSCE/NABTEB certificate examinations,
which must include English Language and Mathematics at
not more than two sittings.
In addition, candidates seeking admission into Law must
possess at least a credit pass in Literature in English.
Candidates awaiting GCE/NECO SSCE/WAEC SSCE/
NABTEB results are also encouraged to apply provided the
results would be available by September when the new
session commences.
Candidtate may also seek admission into the 200 level of
the degree programmes with the following qualifications:
1. Passes in at least two subjects at the Advanced level
and an additional subject at the subsidiary level in the
General Certificate of Education Examination. The
subjects must constitute a suitable preliminary to the
intended courses.
2. Diploma/NCE at credit level pass and above in the
appropriate subjects from a recognized institution.
3. IJMB in the appropriate subjects.
4. First Degree in relevant discipline.
5. In all these cases, candidates must also satisfy the
requirements for matriculation viz: five credit passes at
the GCE/WAEC SSCE/NECO SSCE/NABTEB Certificate
examinations.
Candidate are required to show evidence of application to
JAMB.
UTME Requirement:
Candidates applying for admission are required to sit for
UTME and obtain the prescribed cut-off marks. This is a
statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian universities.
Age:
Candidates who are above 22 years of age will not be
deemed eligible for admission. Older candidates may be
admitted under exceptional circumstances.

MASTERS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)
1. Candidates for admission into MBA (Regular) should
have:
1. A minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in
Accounting, Business Administration,
Management, Economics, Banking and Finance
from any recognized University
2. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower
Credit plus University Postgraduate Diploma with
a minimum of Merit in the relevant areas from
any recognized University.
2. Candidates for admission into MBA (Special) should
have a minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in any
discipline from Bayero University, Kano or any other
recognized University.
MASTERS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (M.Ent)
1. Candidates for admission into M.Ent (Regular) should
have:
1. A minimum of a good Second Class degree in
Business Administration, Management,
Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, or
any related discipline from any recognized
university; or
2. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower
Credit plus a Postgraduate Diploma in
Entrepreneurship (PGD-Ent) with a minimum of

POSTGARDUATE DIPLOMA IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (PGD-
Ent)
1. A candidate must have obtained BSc or HND; or
2. Have accredited professional qualifications, such as
ICAN, ANAN, etc from a recognized institution and must
have possessed five relevant credits at Ordinary Level.
3. The candidate is also required to have at least one year
post graduation experience.
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (PGDM)
1. Candidates for admission into PGDM shall possess a
Degree in any discipline from any recognized university;
or
2. HND with a minimum classification of Lower Credit
obtained from recognized institutions.
3. The candidate is also required to have at least one years
of post graduation experience.

The cost of each application is Ten Thousand Naira
(N10,000.00) only, plus administrative charges of Five Hundred

STRUCTURE OF THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: The
Entrance Examination will last for two-hours and shall consist
of multiple choice questions, which shall be based on the
following O’ Level subjects: English Language, Mathematics,
General Science, Social Studies and General Knowledge.
EXAMINATION REGULATIONS
1. Candidates are advised to conduct themselves in a
proper and orderly manner during the examination.
2. Candidates are reminded that the Examination
Malpractice Act 2004 provides penalties for persons
convicted of examination malpractice. Therefore any
acts of examination malpractice should be avoided.
3. Candidates stand to be automatically disqualified in the
event of impersonation, disturbances at examination
halls, failure to obey lawful orders of supervisors/
invigilators, forgery of Identification Slip.
OFFER OF ADMISSION
To gain admission into the College, applicants must attain an
acceptable pass level in the entrance examination, in addition
to possessing the required entry grades and other entry

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The minimum entry requirements for admission into Landmark
University are credit passes in 5 subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’
Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more
than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English

UTME PREREQUISITES

Course Benefits:

Graduates from the Centre shall acquire both academic and practical knowledge to be employed directly into Sea Ports, Shipping, Oil, Custom Services, and other Agencies in maritime and ICT industries.
The Diploma in Maritime Studies and ICT is recognized as a direct entry qualification in the University of Benin into 200 level for all Engineering programmes and degree programme in the Faculty of Science (Computer Science, Mathematics (Pure and Applied), Industrial Mathematics, Mathematics with Physics, Mathematics with Chemistry, Statistics with Computer Science, Physics, Geology and Industrial Physics), Faculty of Education (Department of Vocational and Technical Education) and Library Studies and similar institutions in the country.

1. Applicants for admission into Part-Time National Diploma
(ND) programmes will be required to have a minimum of five
O/L Credits in relevant subjects at SSCE, GCE, NECO and
NABTEB at not more than two sittings.
2. Credit Passes in Mathematics and English Language are
compulsory for all Applicants seeking admission into any
programme in the Polytechnic. In addition, the other three
subjects must be relevant to the Course of Choice.

University screening test. At the end of the programme,
successful candidates of the JUPEB examination will be
admitted into 200 level in various degree courses in the
University of Uyo provided they satisfy the admission criteria
for such courses.
NOTE: JAMB Score is not required for admission into this
programme. Candidates for the 2017 UTME can also apply as
there will be no supplementary application for this programme.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
1. The M.Phil/Ph.D Degree Programme; A candidate who
seeks admission into the degree of the Doctor of Philosophy
Programme must hold an Academic Masters Degree of Bayero
University, Kano or any other recognised University and satisfy
the conditions in (i) (iv) of (2) below. The CGPA of the Masters
Programme should be at least 3.50 on a scale of 0.00 to 5.00.
A Ph.D candidate who satisfies all admission requirements
except the CGPA can be considered for admission into M.Phil/
Ph.D provided the CGPA is at least 3.00.
2. The Academic Masters Degree Programme; A candidate
seeking admission into the Academic Masters Degree
Programme must hold:
i. A minimum of a good Second Class (Lower Division) Degree
with a CGPA not below 2.75 on the scale of 0.00 to 5.00 of
Bayero University, Kano or any other recognised University
(provided the University matriculation requirement is satisfied)
in the relevant area.
ii. A minimum of Third Class Lower Degree plus a good
Postgraduate Diploma at credit level from Bayero University,
Kano or from any other recognised University (provided the
University matriculation requirement is satisfied) in the
relevant area.
iii. A Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on
a scale of 0.00 to 5.00 and an HND with Upper Credit from any
recognised institution.
iv. Any other qualifications deemed by the Board of School of
Postgraduate Studies and Senate to be equivalent to (i) and
(ii) above.
3. Candidates for admission into MBF, MHE and MTM, should
have:
a. A minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in Accounting,
Business Administration, Management, Economics, Banking
and Finance from Bayero University, Kano or any other
recognized University.
b. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus a
Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of Merit in the relevant
areas from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized
University.
4. Candidates for admission into MRH should have a degree
in Medicine, Nursing and Biological Science of Bayero
University, Kano or any other recognised University.
5. Candidates for admission into MDS, MPPA, MEM, MCMP
shall have:
a. A Good Honours Degree with at least Second Class Lower
in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano or any other
recognized University.
b. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus a
Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum classification of Merit
in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano
6. Candidates for admission into MBCL shall possess:
a. A minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in Law or the
Social Sciences from Bayero University, Kano or any other
recognized University.
b. A Degree in Law or the Social Sciences plus a Postgraduate
Diploma with minimum classification of Merit from Bayero
University, Kano or any other recognized University.
7. Candidates for admission into PGDBF, PGDHE, PGDPPA,
PGDSPA, PGDCMPC, PGDMC, PGDDS, PGDE, PGDGC,
PGDRTM, PGDHE, PGDDA and PGDIM shall possess a Degree
in any discipline from BUK or any other recognized University
or HND with a minimum classification of Lower Credit
obtained from recognized Institutions.
8. Candidates for admission into PGDEM, PGDLA and PGDSE,
shall possess a Degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences,
Agriculture and related disciplines or HND with a minimum of
Lower Credit in the related disciplines.
9. Candidates for admission into PGDAF shall hold a Degree in
Accounting or related disciplines obtained from a recognized
University or HND with a minimum classification of Lower
Credit in Accounting or related disciplines obtained from
recognized Institutions.
10. Candidates for admission into PGDHS should have at least
a 3rd class Degree in Hausa or combined honours or HND
with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant areas obtained
from recognized Institutions.
11. Candidates for admission into PGDBS, PGDC and PGDIP
shall have a Degree in the relevant Science subjects or HND
with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant areas obtained
from recognized Institutions.
12. Candidates for admission into PGDEE, PGDCE and PGDME
shall have a Degree in the relevant Engineering areas or HND
with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant engineering
areas obtained from recognized institutions.
13. Candidates for admission into M.Sc in Public Health must;
a. Have MBBS or BDS degree of Bayero University, Kano or an
equivalent Medical Degree from a recognised University.
b. Be registered with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council
and posses a current practicing license.
c. Have at least three years post qualification cognate
experience in Medicine or health related area at Federal, State
or Local Government Area levels. Those employed in non-
governmental organisations, engaged in occupational health
services as well as those in the private sector are also eligible.
d. There shall be an entry written examination, short listed
candidates will then be interviewed to determine eligibility of
the candidates.
NB: All candidates for admission into Ph.D, M.Phil, M.A, M.Ed,
M.Sc, M.Eng and LLM Programmes must provide records of
their Academic Transcripts.

the PROSPECTIVE STUDENT TAB click Applications at the
home page. Login using FULL NAME OF THE APPLICANT and
select “Applying for a Postgraduate Programme”. A username
and password will be generated for you. Please take careful
note of them, as you need them for subsequent steps of the
application process.
-Login to your account and generate /print your BUK
Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF). Anon-refundable
application fee ofN10,500:00 (Ten Thousand Five Hundred
Naira Only) is reflected on applicant’s BUKPPF, to be paid
using Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platform
(www.remita.net). Applicants must make sure that they
entered ALL the information of the BUKPPF EXACTLY.
-Applicants must also ensure that;

-Return to http://www.buk.edu.ng and login with your username and
password to fill in the Application Forms; Programme
Selection Form, Personal Data Form, Qualifications Form.
Transcript Request Form shall also be filled by candidates for
Ph.D, M.Phil and Academic Masters’ Programmes in addition
to the forms listed in Step 3 above.
-Review your forms to ensure accuracy of all information
provided. Click ‘SUBMIT’ to complete the application process.
-An Acknowledgement Slip will be generated for you
immediately. Print the Slip and keep it safe. The slip will be
needed during the collection of admission letter and during
registration.
